2017 Hyundai Creta Facelift Unveiled; Will Be Launched In India Next Year

Hyundai Creta, the popular compact SUV from the Korean carmaker is all set to get its very first facelift. The two thousand seventeen Hyundai Creta was unveiled early this month at the Sao Paulo Auto Display in Brazil and is likely to be launched in India by mid-2017. Albeit, it will go on sale in the Brazilian market much sooner, by the end of this year or by early-2017, at least.

The fresh Hyundai Creta two thousand seventeen comes with a number of cosmetic updates and few fresh features making the car all the more appealing. Among the several fresh switches in the Creta facelift, the most prominent update has to be the fresh face. While the bold and aggressive character of the car has been retained, additions like the fresh hexagonal grille with chrome borders, fresh sculpted front bumper and the restyled horizontal LED fog lamps add to the car’s premium quotient. The headlamp cluster remains the same and so does the fetish mask design, whereas, the overall butch SUV-like look of the outgoing Creta has been toned down a little.

The side profile of the two thousand seventeen Creta facelift remains fairly similar to the current model, except for the addition of fresh alloy wheels that give it more upmarket feel and the smaller roof rails. Hyundai has also worked upon the rear profile of the car as it now comes with a fresh bumper with a larger silver skid plate. The tail lamp cluster has also been slightly updated.
As for the interior, switches made to the cabin are fairly limited and the only major difference from the outgoing model is the fresh brown/black dual tone finish and matching leather seats. The car also offers some fresh features like – cornering lights, stability control, hill-climb assist, tyre pressure monitoring system and more. There is also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on suggest.

While the Brazilian-spec Creta facelift comes with two engine options – a Two.0-litre D-CVVT and a 1.6-litre D-CVVT motor, the Indian-spec model with proceed with its current powertrains – The 1.6-litre Gamma Dual VTVT petrol engine, the 1.6-litre U2 CRDi VGT and 1.4-litre U2 CRDi oil burners. The engines come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard and a 6-speed automatic gearbox as an option in both petrol and diesel trims with the 1.6-litre motors.
