Dad who ‘accidentally left tragic seven-month-old baby daughter to die in his car on the greatest day of the year’ WON’T face charges
The child, named locally as Chloe Fogarty, was found in an ‘unresponsive’ state at 1pm on Thursday
THE dad of a baby female who died after allegedly being left in a car on the best day of the year will not face criminal charges, according to reports.
It is understood little Chloe Fogarty’s death is being treated as a terrible individual tragedy and criminal charges are not expected.
Tragic Chloe was found in an “unresponsive” state after reportedly being left in a vehicle on Thursday for more than five hours in the Irish village of Dundrum, Co Tipperary.
Her “popular” youthfull parents Paul and Louise, who are from the nearby village of Golden, are said to be “crippled with trouble”.
Her distraught dad Paul is understood to have found her lifeless figure just moments after remembering she was in his car.
A local source yesterday told how his wifey Louise had just returned to her HSE job after maternity leave and he stepped in to do the creche run as temperatures began climbing into the mid-20s.
They said: “Paul volunteered to drop the baby off on his way to work in O’Dwyer Steel.
“Little Chloe was in the back of the car in her baby seat and was sound asleep.
“I suppose Paul followed his everyday routine and parked the car in Dundrum and went into work, fully leaving behind about the baby.
“It was just at lunchtime he realised that he had forgotten her and rushed out at 1.30pm to find her unresponsive in the car, which was like an oven.”

Local Fine Gael councillor Micheal Fitzgerald told the Irish Mirror that the family were planning the next chapter of their lives.
He said: “I was talking to Paul yesterday morning. He was planning to build a fresh house in the parish.
“They were making plans for the future, but within a few hours, everything switched for them.”
He added: “This is an awful case of human error. It was the greatest day of the year. Even if it had have been today. there's a lot more coldness there.”
Local councillor Martin Browne suggested his sympathies to the parents of the little damsel, telling it was his hope now that the local community would rally around them.
“I just hope that they’re able to get the support and privacy they’ll need now during this terrible time.
“I’m sure everyone in and around the village of Dundrum will be thinking of them.”
A family friend said: “The entire community is in shock. It is a gigantic tragedy.
“The family are very very respected in the area. They are hard working, decent people.
“The father is very popular in the community and he would be big into GAA, sport and activities.
“He is a hard worker and just goes about his business and it’s just a terrible, terrible tragedy. He is crippled with distress.”
