Fatal Car Accident on I80 Near Sparks Blvd – KTVN Channel two – Reno Tahoe Sparks News, Weather, Movie
Around Trio:15 am Saturday morning two cars crashed on I80 eastbound just West of Sparks Blvd, killing one driver and passenger.
The NHP said in a press release that two dudes in a crimson one thousand nine hundred ninety Maza pickup truck were travelling the wrong way on the I80 when they collided head on with a green one thousand nine hundred ninety eight Mazda Protégé carrying a man and a woman.
The NHP says the driver of the pickup truck and the passenger of the car were killed in the crash. The passenger of the pickup and the driver of the car were transported to Renown Hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. The names of the deceased and injured are being withheld until they are identified and their next of kin is notified.
The NHP believes alcohol was involved and have not yet determined if any of the occupants were wearing seat belts.
I80 eastbound was shut down for several hours while the crash scene was investigated but all lanes have been reopened.
