Cars, church statue bruised in Cambridge vandalism spree
Updated: Jul 27, two thousand seventeen – 11:38 PM
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Cambridge Police are investigating a vandalism spree that left at least a dozen cars with smashed windshields.
It happened in the Peabody section of Cambridge inbetween three and four a.m. Wednesday.
“Several vehicles with windshields, smashed in, literally someone banged it, moving onto the next car. Bang, moving onto the next car,» Cambridge Police Public Information Officer Jeremy Warnick said.
Police believe the suspect used an aluminum bat to harm the cars, but that wasn`t where it stopped.
At the Church of Saint Peter, the arm was ripped off a golden statue and six potted plants were ruined.
«They bring the bat, walking around the church, they throw away all the plants,» church custodian Marcos Miranda said.
