Faurecia leverages advanced functions , in particular innovations in on-board electronics, to create added value. The Active Wellness™ seat concept is the world`s very first seat that detects the traveler`s drowsiness or stress and then takes countermeasures to relieve those conditions . Active Wellness™ employs uniquely designed sensors to measure heartbeat, breathing rhythm of drivers and/or occupants and other data based on the most latest medical research. It then provides a very specific rubdown pattern, along with air flow through the seat`s ventilation system , either to re-energize a tired occupant or to relieve a stressed individual, making life on board a more healthy practice.

In 2016, Faurecia won the Automotive News Rhythm Award for its Cover Carving Technology, a proprietary process that reinvents the production of seat covers and enables 3D animation with an unmatched level of repeatable quality. CCT offers fresh design options with greater durability and overall quality, while reducing development and production time for covers. The light back panel, associated with Faurecia`s sculpted cover, permits for inclusion of concave and convex embossing shapes, and significantly reduces production time. Additionally, CCT cuts tooling costs by eighty percent and is fifty percent lighter when compared to a plastic back panel.
