Police Blotter: Seven Cars Stolen in Bethesda, Chevy Pursue, Rockville; Former Quincy`s Bar and Grille Burglarized in Bethesda

Three cars stolen on Butler Road, Park Avenue

Two cars on the five thousand four hundred block of Butler Road were stolen inbetween nine and 11:46 a.m. April Legitimate. Both had keys in the ignition. One was recovered later that day, and the other was recovered April 25. A car was also stolen on the four thousand eight hundred block of Park Avenue inbetween seven p.m. April twenty two and nine a.m. April 23. The manner of entry is unknown. It was recovered April 24.

Theft from vehicles

Cash, property and vehicle parts were taken from vehicles in numerous thefts that occurred from April nineteen to twenty three on Westbard Circle, Westport Road, Western and Park avenues and in other areas. No force was reported in any incidents.

Property was taken from Quincy`s Bar and Grille in a commercial burglary inbetween 8:30 p.m. April nineteen and three p.m. April 20. Coerced entry was reported. The four thousand nine hundred twenty Del Ray Ave. restaurant had filed for bankruptcy earlier in April.

Westbrook Elementary School burglarized

Police arrested an 18-year-old Bethesda man for a burglary at Westbrook Elementary School at five thousand one hundred ten Allan Terrace in the early morning April 21. Nothing was taken and there was no coerced entry.

Car stolen on Crescent Street

Someone entered an unlocked car on the four thousand nine hundred block of Crescent Street and used a key inwards to steal another vehicle parked at the property inbetween one and Five:45 a.m. April 22. The car was recovered April 23.

Two fellows stole medication in a strong-arm robbery at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at five thousand three hundred fifty Westbard Ave. at 1:42 p.m. April 23.

Two cars stolen on Thornapple Street, Pomander Lane

A car was stolen on the three thousand seven hundred block of Thornapple Street inbetween eleven p.m. April nineteen and 6:45 a.m. April 20. The key fob was left inwards the car. A car also was stolen from the seven thousand one hundred block of Pomander Lane inbetween eleven p.m. April twenty four and eight a.m. April 25. The keys were left inwards. The car was recovered April 25. Police wrote that both thefts could have been prevented if the keys weren`t inwards the cars.

Attempted car theft on Lanier Drive

Someone attempted to steal a car on the eight thousand eight hundred block of Lanier Drive inbetween twelve a.m. April nineteen and twelve p.m. April 24.

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from cars parked on Pinehurst Circle, Thornapple, Woodbine and Underwood streets and Williams and Pomander lanes inbetween April nineteen and 25. No force was reported and numerous vehicles were unlocked. Police urged residents in a statement to lock doors and eliminate valuables from cars.

Residential burglary on Connecticut Avenue

Property was taken from a house on the ten thousand nine hundred block of Connecticut Avenue inbetween four and Four:30 p.m. April 17. The front door had been unlocked, and no compelled entry was reported.

Car stolen on Lofstrand Lane

An unknown man stole a car from a business on the six hundred block of Lofstrand Lane inbetween 1:25 and 1:34 a.m. April 20. He is described as a six feet tall, 180-pound man with brief brown hair. He was wearing gray pants, a gray sweatshirt and a gray baseball cap.

Tires stolen from car on McAuliffe Drive

Someone eliminated two tires from a car on the one thousand eight hundred block of McAuliffe Drive inbetween one and ten a.m. April 22.

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from vehicles parked on Chagall and Blackberry drives and Mosel and Blackberry terraces inbetween five p.m. April twenty two and eleven a.m. April 23. No force was reported; numerous cars were unlocked.

Armed robbery on Crookston Lane

Two studs displayed a weapon and assaulted a boy on the thirteen thousand block of Crookston Lane at Four:40 p.m. April 24. They took his property.

Armed robbery of a taxi

Two guys, one of whom displayed a weapon, robbed a taxi driver on the eight hundred block of Juniper Street in the early morning April 23. They assaulted him and took property.

Thefts from vehicles around East West Highway

Cash and property were taken from numerous vehicles parked on East West Highway and Fenton and Cameron streets inbetween April twenty three and 25. Force was reported in all thefts.
